I got back a little over a month ago from spending a month with Ziegler & Partner's program at MGU. If I have the money, I am looking to return (via any program in Moscow or St. Petersburg) next summer for study. Alternatively, I may seek to teach English for a still longer period beginning in the fall of 2001. If I do a full summer of study I will be paying all expenses and earning nothing, while if I teach I will earn at least a get-by stipend. However, I hear that you need to go through international teaching training which can cost at least a couple additional thousand. Does anybody have any answers or ideas on the cheapest route? Specifically, does anybody know of any English programs for U.S. teachers that doesn't require international training? I have heard such an alternative exists in some places.
