General Information

The Faculty of Law of Moscow State University is the large centre of highly qualified legal training in Russia. It is the oldest faculty functioning from the University’s foundation in 1755.

Professors of the Faculty conduct broad research in different areas of law. Besides academic their activities include participation in elaborating of the legislation at the Federal Assambly of Russia, consulting both state and private bodies on different legal issues.

In order to meet the challenge of contemporary practice lawers should continually improve their professional level and be able to use their knowledge in courts. For these purposes the Faculty has all necessary human resourses and facilities: highly qualified professors and and associate professors, modern scientific library, Buro of Legal Data-base, Laboratory of Criminalistics, Laboratory of Legal Informatics and Cybernetics and Computer Laboratory.
